Discover the Neuroscience of Emotional Resilience and How to Thrive During Stressful Times

Monday, July 15, at 2 pm ET | 11 am PT

In times of stress and uncertainty, our emotions can often feel overwhelming or even out of control. But what if we told you that understanding the neuroscience behind your emotions could help you not only manage stress but also thrive?

Join us for an enlightening session where we’ll explore neuroscientific insights and practices from Dr. Richard J. Davidson’s Healthy Minds Innovations—a groundbreaking organization focused on emotional well-being and contemplative practices.

Dr. Davidson’s breakthrough research has proven that with the right science, tools, and effort, we can train our minds to improve our own lives—this is at the core of his organization Healthy Minds Innovations (HMI). HMI’s four-pillared program will help you understand the connections between what’s happening inside your brain and how you’re interacting with the world around you—with results ranging from increased focus to decreased stress and higher levels of health and well-being.

What You’ll Learn

The Six Emotional Styles

Dr. Davidson identifies six distinct emotional styles, each tied to unique neural networks in the brain. Learn which emotional style you relate to and how it impacts your life.

The Neuroscience of Emotions

Gain an understanding of how these emotional styles are wired into your brain and how they shape your responses to stress and uncertainty.

Contemplative Practices for Change

Discover how engaging in simple, mindful practices can enhance emotional flexibility, helping you embrace your feelings and fostering emotional well-being.

Building Resilience in Difficult Times

Learn practical strategies for navigating challenging situations with emotional balance and strength.

This event is for anyone who wants to:

Enhance their emotional resilience during stressful times

Improve their emotional well-being through science-backed practices

Gain a deeper understanding of how the brain shapes their emotional responses

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to gain practical neuroscientific insights and transformative practices from one of the leading experts in the field.

We look forward to seeing you on February 28!

About Richard J. Davidson, PhD

Dr. Davidson is best known for his groundbreaking work studying emotion and the brain. A friend and confidante of the Dalai Lama, he is a highly sought after expert and speaker, leading conversations on well-being on international stages such as the World Economic Forum, where he served on the Global Council on Mental Health.

Time magazine named Dr. Davidson one of “The 100 Most Influential People in the World” in 2006. He was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2017.

His research is broadly focused on the neural bases of emotion and emotional style as well as methods to promote human flourishing, including meditation and related contemplative practices.

In Dharamshala, India, in 1992, Dr. Davidson met the Dalai Lama: “His Holiness challenged me and asked why we are not using the tools of modern neuroscience to study qualities such as kindness and compassion rather than negative qualities of the mind such as depression and anxiety. I had no good answer, and on that day, I made a commitment to His Holiness and to myself that I would do everything within my power to help place these positive qualities on the scientific map.”

About Healthy Minds Innovations

Healthy Minds Innovations (HMI) is a nonprofit founded on the work of world-renowned neuroscientist Dr. Richard Davidson and affiliated with the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Driven by a mission to translate science into tools to cultivate and measure well-being, HMI takes the discoveries and insights gleaned from the Center’s research—as well as that of our own scientific team—and translates them into tools that help people around the world build skills of well-being.
